Jeff Zlonis

Jeff Zlonis is excited by the improvement in people’s lives that can be achieved by redesigning old bureaucratic systems!  He became committed to the use of designing for the common good when he saw the valuable results it produced while he was working as a government leader (State of Minnesota) and managing an international consultancy (The Public Strategies Group).  In forty years from criminal justice to health to education to child welfare to finance, Jeff has experienced how redesign of systems can create increased value for people.

Connie Nelson is passionate about using design to improve outcomes for people -- people who are to be benefitted by public purpose organizations.  Since 1994, Connie has participated in or led over 30 Labs to rethink areas as diverse as property taxation, child support payment, older adult self-sufficiency, youth homelessness, and tribal nation sovereignty.  Recently, Connie worked with leaders in Oregon to help redesign behavioral health and special education systems, and with leaders in Minnesota to redesign supports for people with developmental disabilities.  That design, called “My Life, My Choices,” won a MN Public Policy Achievement Award.  Connie is a Partner Emeritus of the former Public Strategies Group.
